Vickie Marie Nadolson

She will be missed looking forward to when I will see her again. Cousin Vickie has been an inspiration to me and to all the countless people I have met in the last 50 years who needed a word of hope when they had just gotten the word they had cancer, and I got the privilege of sharing what I knew of her amazing life story with them. At first it was only a story of how through the answer to much prayer and courage she lived despite the odds the doctors gave her. I remember when they opened her up and then sewed her back up like a suit case and told her she might have Six weeks to six months. But the decision to fight this had been made and I remember seeing her walking in the hallway of the hospital the next day after the surgery. I remember her taking the chemo and radiation and we how sick she was after but when she felt a little better she would take a trip and live her life to the fullest. And she won this battle what a miracle it was what an answer to prayer. But they told us she would most likely never have children because of the radiation she had been given. Then the miracle some 9 years later when her daughter Lauren was born and yet another miracle two years later when her son Brent was born. She shared some 40 years with her husband Michael Nadolson before he to went to be with the Lord. I didn't see Vickie from 1975 to 2015 some 40 years had past with out being in the same place at the same time. But finally we saw each other again at her sister Shirley's place and she brought with her, her grandson Collin who I believe was about 15 at the time. What a privilege it was to visit with my Uncle Don and his great Grandson in the same room. With Cousins Vickie and Shirley . I didn't get to meet his Mother Lauren until last June at Uncle Don's celebration of life. All this to say I look forward to one day seeing her again and hopefully meeting her younger brother Brent and the rest of Vickie's grandchildren Emily, Dylan, and Mari Lynn Jane Grace, whom I'm guessing is Vickie's name sake. I know it is difficult to say goodbye to so many people you have loved in so short a time. My prayers have been going out to all of her family. Looking forward to seeing those I have known and met ,and those I hope to someday meet on this life I Love You All . Until then God Bless You and Keep You in the palm of his hand. Cousin Mitch.
