MEMORIAL SERVICE 07/19/21: Last week our family and friends held a small ceremony to say goodbye to Judy. Her final wish was that her remains be cremated and the ashes spread in the ocean in front of the family cottage at Popham Beach, in Maine. Of all, this place was closest to her heart. The last entries in the cottage's journal were Judy's, only a few months before she passed. She spoke of it as a place for "much needed rest, recovery and replenishment." It's fitting that her remains are now here, forever part of Popham. We gathered at the Fort Popham Dock on Monday, July 19th at 8 am. The river was calm with gentle swells as the boat took us down the Kennebec and across the Wood Island bar. The boat idled just offshore, with the high tide, the cottage in the background with its stark grey clapboards and bold red trim contrasting the deep green of the dunes. A storm had cleared the night before so the morning was cool with just a bit of haze. George sat peacefully in the bow as Kelsey, his granddaughter, began with a brief but touching blessing, barely holding back tears. It had been a long hard year since Judy passed in March, 2020. George spoke of Judy's love for this place with his typical strong voice, yet a lingering note that betrayed his sorrow. He spoke of their time together here with us as children, travelling back and forth from Montreal in the early years. Her time on the beach since a child, and their shared love of this place. His words were simple and pure. He finished by saying how much he loved her, and deeply misses her each and every day. We prepared the container with her ashes as the boat's bow was turned windward toward Fox Island. Judy's ashes were gently released into the ocean as a few words were said about these only being her earthly remains, while feeling her spirit with us every day. Everyone hugged, and then passed the bag of feathers that Judy believed were an angel's gift when she'd find them. We spread them in the ocean as we said our goodbye's. She's now part of Popham, inseparable from its sand, waves, and dunes. May her earthly remains rest in peace and, as you visit, Popham's beauty always remind you of a kind, generous, loving soul, and a life well-lived. George, Kinga, Greg, and their Families. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PASSING 03/19/20: Dear Friends and Family, With deep sadness in our hearts, we write to let you know that Judy passed yesterday, March 19th, 2020 at 10:10 AM EST. She fought hard, with George and her family at her side, battling the illness that hospitalized her last week. Despite all best efforts, there was nothing that could be done to save her. She passed peacefully, having been conscious and alert, and understood what was happening. As she was in life, she was in her passing: Caring. She wanted you all to know "that she loves you," and "not to worry." A piece of our hearts has been torn from us. As we begin the process of mourning her passing, we want to thank you all for your support over the past few weeks. In these uncertain times, a traditional memorial service may not be possible in the immediate future. We'll be in touch once we know more. George, Kinga, Greg, and their Families.

Deepest condolences to George, Kinga, Greg and the family. I remember Judy as a loving person who liked to kid. She and George hosted me a few times at their Doylestown home as I was visiting Philly for work. Judy would take the opportunity to perform Reiki and by God our sessions were moving as she would draw my deepest thoughts and spirits. Thank you Judy for your goodness. I will miss you.

Judy's smile lit up a room. Here she's laughing with Colby Livingston named after her grandson Colby Fauser. My heart goes out to the Kovecses Fauser & Sagert families. May your memories bring you peace and joy over time.

I first met Judy about 18 years ago when she was holding education sessions for nursing assistants. After listening to their questions, she pulled them all together and like a mother hen with her chicks following, took off down the hallway to demonstrate. What struck me was how her positive energy just radiated - along with her constant smile and infinite patience. Several years later at the suggestion of my friend Denise, I began my Reiki journey with Judy. Over the next few years, Judy, through her calming presence and words of wisdom kept me grounded. I learned from her to look at life a little bit differently, knowing there is truly love and light out there. Judy was an inspiration, truly living what she believed and has made so many all the better for it. I will miss her.

Dear Kovecses Family, I am so shocked and saddened to learn of Judy's passing. I just ran into a mutual friend who told me. I was a Reiki client who will always be grateful for Judy's sharing of her gift of healing. While I met George when there for sessions, I feel like I came to know the rest of you through Judy and her immense love and pride for each of you...her children, her grandchildren and her siblings. She has taught me lessons that will last a lifetime. And although my children never visited for a session, they always wanted to know "what did Reiki Lady say this time?!" Those lessons will live on in all of us! I wish you all love, peace and comfort on your journey of navigating life without her physical presence. She truly was an angel while here on earth! I feel blessed to have known her. Thank you for sharing her with me!

I cannot even begin to imagine how heavy your hearts are, as she was your MOTHER, WIFE and best bud, and I was just a Reiki client to her. My heart is so, so sad at the thought of not being in her one-in-a-million comforting and caring presence every 2-3 weeks (for probably last 8 years?) so you must really feel that pain at an exponential level.Ouch!!! So, so sorry, George, Greg and Kinga. Greg & Kinga, I feel like I know you. As your mom would work her unique Healing Reiki Magic that no other person will ever be able to exactly replicate (although she was always humble and said it was The Man Upstairs who did the work, and EVERY time I argued SHE was quite integral to my transformations...haha:), she always managed to fit in a proud momma story of you both, and always had a light laugh to accompany the memory or lesson. As a single mom for 9 years with kids 1,3 and 5 when I started, I would soak in her Wisdom and admirable approach at loving your kids like crazy, but also letting them have their "Journey". I am a prayer person, and will pray for your strength to grieve as you maneuver this difficult time. However, I Hope you feel the same as me. She was always advocating for those Angels, and I Believe Profoundly she will pop up EVERYWHERE for you and her grandkids;) hee hee... Speaking of Prayer, mine are in SUPER POWER mode for you, George!!! I loved just coming into your warm energy Home, and even though you were always busy with the dogs, or yard work, or thinking of the next healthy and gourmet dinner you and your wife were gonna' have by the fire with a drink, I also feel like I know you. WOW, did she LOVE you, and your relationship!!! I recently remarried and she shared many of stories how your love and relationship changed and grew over the years, and her advice is helping me tremendously, as you 2 were the Inspiring example. I am so deeply saddened for losing your companion:(((( PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know as you reconfigure your world if you need any help. I am right in Doylestown (610) 564-1490, and can bring meals, clean, whatever.... Really. Ughhh, I thought the tears were done, but as your mom/wife would say, my Heart Chakra needs more releasing now! I do not believe in coincidences and Judy propelled me through a nightmare divorce, and into the NEW LIFE I have Created, with her "orange chakra" Guidance:) She encouraged me to take my time, meditate, and slowly move into my Dream Come True business, Doylestown Divorce Support. I was literally having a Women's Support Group Wednesday night before she passed, and my one client randomly asked: "Anyone ever try that Reiki stuff?" I found myself going off: " I do NOT know what happens in that room, but my Reiki lady has helped me release so much divorce anger, catapulted me to the next phase...YES, DO IT!!!"... If the measure of a worthwhile life is truly changing others, YOUR MOM AND WIFE WIN THE AWARD! I am Uber Grateful for the Forgiveness she planted in my head for many of my relationships to Finally Really (onion layers!) Heal, a constant reminder to slow down and take care of myself so "My Love and Light will go out to others, and they will Heal",,for Connecting me to that priceLESS Feeling that my Angels are watching, and for her Genuine Hugs and "LOVE YOU!!!!" as I ventured out that Special sunroom door... Lump in throat, THANK YOU for Sharing her and please let me know if I can do anything or if there will be a Memorial eventually. I would BE HONORED. As my Grandma Ethel would say (like your mom's cat, Ethel)..."Safe Journey, Kid!" So many up there are REJOICING in her now, THANKING her for being a Special Messenger to so many on Earth. GOD BLESS, George, Greg, Kinga and her fam and dear friends!!! xoxo Amy Siock Paynton
