Grace Chong

This memorial website was created in loving memory of our sister, wife, daughter, Grace Chong, 42 years old, born on November 4, 1980, and passed away on January 14, 2023. Words cannot expressed our grief as we make sense of a life taken too soon. Grace is survived by her husband Po Tsao, mother Kam Lam, siblings Siew Chong, Anne Chong and Godwin Chong. She was the loving aunt of Innocenzo and Gianluca Rocksmith. 

Grace got her early education in Malaysia- she is fluent in Chinese, Malay, and English.  She completed her college studies at University of Missouri-St. Louis with a degree in Information Information System, Business Administration and Management.  She joined Cerner Corporation as an analyst after college and was most recently Senior Manager/Architect, in which she leads a team at Oracle after its merger with Cerner. She grew up in the Lutheran Church and was active in the youth and music ministries in Malaysia and US.  She was a talented pianist and guitarist.  What makes Grace memorable and beloved by many is that she is the embodiment of her name.  She was gracious, patient, accepting, and kind to family, friends, and colleagues.  She loved animals and nature.  She and Po enjoyed travelling and exploring different cuisines.  In 2021/2022, they travelled from the East Coast to West Coast where they visited 14 national parks and took in two cruises.  We followed their trip and enjoyed the beautiful pictures she took during the trip.    

She will be deeply mourned but we are comforted that she is now at peace in God's embrace.  We look forward in faith and hope for our reunion in God's presence.
