BIOGRAPHY:

Young Kook Park, Peter Park ("박영국") was an artist, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He lost his battle with cancer on November 30, 2020 and is survived by his loving daughters (Cynthia, Frances and Joan), and his 3 grandchildren (Elise, Emilia and Martin).

Mr. Park was a graduate of Kyung-Gi High School and Seoul National University (서울대학교), Korea's most prestigious university, where he majored in Art (미술학). He pursued his graduate studies in America and obtained a Masters degree in Fine Art from Otis College of Art and Design. Throughout his lifetime, Mr. Park created works in various media, often in wood or on canvas. Mr. Park enjoyed sharing his passion for art and education with the Korean-American community of Los Angeles, and was very active in the Korean Artists Association of Southern California (남가주 한인 미술가 협회), Seoul National University Alumni Association, Korea Town Senior and Community Center, Falun Gong, and other artistic and cultural organizations in the area.

His gregarious nature and giving spirit will live on in those that loved him. Please keep his family, friends, and colleagues in your prayers during their time of bereavement.
