Willie's Grandchild
Willie "Mr. Fish" Frazier, Jr.

A Fisherman’s Farewell
To the docks of the lake, he’s said his goodbye,
To join the Great Fisher in the light of the sky.
He talked to the Lord while he waited for a bite,
And he’s finally reached that perfect, calm site.
So remember the smile and the jokes he would share,
For "Mr. Fish" is at peace, in God’s loving care.
Mr. Willie Frazier Jr. passed away peacefully on the morning of March 4, 2026, at the Hospice of East Texas. A man of deep kindness and a remarkably loving heart, Willie took his final breath with his granddaughter, Justina and his daughter, Keesha, by his side.
Born on December 18, 1936, in South Bend, Indiana, Willie was 89 years old. He was preceded in death by his mother, Anne Black Lucas; his stepfather, Archie Lucas; his sister, Lynda Lucas; and his dear companion, Rhonda Gibson. After serving his country as a Radio Operator in the U.S. Air Force from 1955 to 1960—including time stationed at the Kimpo airfield in South Korea—Willie spent many years in Des Moines, Iowa, before settling in Texas in 1996.
Affectionately known as "Mr. Fish," Willie was never happier than when he was on the water. He was a familiar and respected presence at the boat docks of Hideaway Lake, often sharing that his time at the docks gave him the quiet opportunity to "talk to the Lord while waiting for the fish to bite." His legendary sense of humor, often finding its way "through the church," and his spirit that never met a stranger made him a constant, reliable source of strength for everyone who knew him. May he rest in peace, knowing he was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.
Survivors
Willie is survived by his wife, Nancy Frazier; his daughters, Willetta Frazier and Keesha Frazier; his son in heart, Jared Lindley; and his sister, Jeanine Crawford. He leaves behind his granddaughters, Justina Simmons (Edwards) and Bonnie Brown; and his nieces, Andrea Jones (Lucas) and Dana Nzerem. He is also survived by a large circle of friends, along with an extended family of sons, daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
