William E. Moore, age 39, beloved and only son of Marie H. Moore of Santa Fe died on April 24, 2009. He was a Gulf War, 82nd. Airbourne -Army-Veteran. As a young adult he enjoyed playing soccer, basketball, wrestling, running, working out, family and friends. He attended Wood Gormley Elementary School, was a boy scout in Den 1 pack 132 and excelled at math. He was a proud graduate of Santa Fe High School.He is survived by his mother Marie H. Moore of Santa Fe, Sister ,Mary Jo Yelinek her husband Jerry, children, Shelby, Jerry Jr. of Durand, Mi.;and Katie Kent of San Jon, NM; & numerous cousins, aunts and uncles. A memorial service in his honor will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N. Guadalupe, Santa Fe at 11:00 a:m: on Friday, May 1, 2009. He will be dearly missed. We wish him God's speed. Dear Billy and The Moore Family, We will always treasure our time with Billy. He was a great friend growing up in the same neighborhood, going to the same schools from Wood Gormley through Santa Fe High. We will always remember spending time with Billy ice skating in Los Alamos or playing at our house. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time in your life.
