William Gregory Adams

It has taken me a while to come to terms with the loss of my best friend. Greg, who was more like a brother to me, is gone from my life. I really don’t know how to begin, or where to begin, because his support is hard to put into words for me. He had always been there for me and played a really significant part in my life. We became friends in first grade, and we have remained friends for the last fifty-seven years. God knows why he wanted us to see this day, a day full of sorrow, and this day is going to leave an everlasting impact on me. One thing I’m sure about is I can never have a friend like him again. We had much in common and were soul connected to each other since the day we met, and little did I know what the future had for both of us. I really miss him, and it is hard to believe that this man, who took it upon himself so many times to save me from my silly mistakes, a man who embodied the term “Pure of Heart” is no longer with us. We promised to stay brothers till death do us apart, and I wish that parting had not been so soon. In the end, the world will never have a guy like him in it again. It has been said that God takes the good people too early, but we have to be strong because God might have better plans for him. This is for my brother, may your soul rest in peace.
