Wendy Hendrix Poff

Mrs. Wendy Hendrix Poff, age 66, of Centre, Alabama, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of November 22, 2023, at her daughter’s residence. Mrs. Poff was born on August 23, 1957 in Newnan, Georgia. She was the daughter of Edward Kenneth “Ed” Hendrix and the late Barbara Jean Lee Hendrix. Mrs. Poff moved to Cavespring, Georgia in 1967, and later moved to Centre, Alabama where she lived her remaining years. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Mr. Wendell Poff; sister, Sheri Hendrix Townsell (Rome); three stepsons, Mike, Jeff, and Joey Poff; sister-in-law, Mrs. Sarah Janie Hendrix (Cavespring); aunt, Mrs. Catherine “Kitty” Hendrix (Newnan). Mrs. Poff is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Amanda Poff Starr, and her husband Mr. Austin Starr; granddaughters, Ava Jade Starr, and Auria Starr; brother, Ken Hendrix; uncles, G.D. Hendrix, and Melvin Hendrix, both of Newnan; aunt, Anne Davis (Newnan); nephew, Ashley Hendrix (Cavespring); nieces, Tiffani Colston (Jake), and Cassie Hendrix. Cousins and great nieces and nephews also. She also leaves behind her two dear friends Ms. Nelly and Ms. Joanne. In accordance with Wendy’s wishes she will be cremated, and no formal services will take place at this time.
