Vicky Lee

Vicky Lee, the caring daughter, loving wife, devoted friend, and the one and only purveyor of "magical & powerful blessings," lost her final battle with the demons of depression on February 10, 2021. Vicky was born on August 17, 1977, in Taiwan to Ming-Tzung and Yumin Lee. She spent her early years adored and doted on as the only child by her parents and grandmother. At seven, she saw her parents through the rough journey of building a life and home in California, eventually settling in San Jose. She made friends from church and each school, job, travel, and acting experience. She loved to explore, and she brought joy to all her friends, in all different walks of life and on many different continents. She was creative, thoughtful, always lifting others up and bringing people together. Vicky made courageous choices in her life and inspired others. She pursued her dream of being an actress and working in Los Angeles. She always encouraged her friends and family, especially her cousins Andrew and Vincent, to be their own selves and to have the courage to do what would make themselves proud. She also loved giving gifts - of her time and unique things she would make or find for her friends. Vicky had so many facets: she was beautiful, vivacious, adventurous, vulnerable, goofy, sarcastic, honest, and a talented artist. She was a rebel because she didn't conform to what everyone expected. She loved God and honestly searched for a relationship with Him on a deeper level. Vicky married Matt Jordan, a long-treasured friend, and companion, on May 29, 2020, and loved him and his family deeply. She so badly wanted to feel the hope she had for their growing family and believe in their dream of teaching in Taiwan together. After enduring through 11 months of COVID lockdowns, her hopes and dreams just gave way to her internal struggle, and the world will forever miss an amazing woman. Please help in celebrating Vicky's life with your memories and photos here: https://www.gatheringus.com/memorial/vicky-lee/6751. Please join us in February 2022 for a post-COVID gathering for a celebration of her life. Consider donating to these organizations Vicky that she held close to her heart: CAAM (Center for Asian American Media) https://caamedia.org/about- caam/ CAAM is a local (SF based) non-profit that runs various programs that promote awareness of the cultural diversity of Asian American artists in film making and public broadcasting. National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) https://nami.org/Home Vicky supported NAMI's section for Asian Americans because it helps families to understand better what people with mental illness face. https://nami.org/Your-Journey/Identity-and-Cultural-Dimensions/Asian-American-and-Pacific-Islander
