Tony Cruz

Tommy "Tony" Cruz, or Tony Conga Cruz, spent the last half of his life in Austin, Texas, and is perhaps best known as a percussionist in the award-winning band Hard Proof. He was a proud Nuyorican, having grown up in New York's Lower East Side in the sixties and seventies. He also lived for a time in San Diego and Florida. Family and friends, please use this site to post a remembrance. His Austin friends will be holding a memorial event at a time when COVID is less of a safety concern. Please follow this page or the Hard Proof Facebook for updates. Please support his memorial fund: gf.me/u/y24dkn
