Thinking of you, Tim could always make something delicious.

Tim was our next door neighbor in Asheville. Whenever I approached him about helping my daughter's school with fundraisers, he always said yes. He gave my daughter her first paid job - passing Papa Murphys flyers out to the neighbors. Boy, do we miss that pizza! When he told us he was moving to be closer to his parents to help take care of them, I really admired that, because not many men our age are willing to do that. It always seems to fall to the daughters to do (as in my case). What an all around great guy! Very sorry to hear of his passing.

Miss you. Love you.

I remember once when Uncle Tim was lighting a bonfire at his parents house - my grandparents. I was young and kept interrupting him to get my mom's attention. Finally he raised his voice and told me to stop interrupting. It startled me so much that I ran off to cry and complain to myself. I was determined to HATE him from then on at that early age (I must have been around 5). At any rate, it didn't stick. As a teenager, Uncle Tim treated me the EXACT way I wanted to be treated: like everyone else! He saw me as unique but didn't fuss over me or patronize. If you've ever been a teenager (and you have) you know how IMPOSSIBLE it is to reach one. He reached me. It was like he "saw me" when no one else did. Of coarse now I know so many people saw and loved me when I didn't think so at the time - but I might have never realized today that if it weren't for the people like Uncle Tim in my life. He broke through, and it was then that I knew how much he really cared about not just me, but all of his nieces and nephews. He never had his eyes glaze over on me once. I was always worthy of his respect - no matter what I'd done, or become. I didn't always know what a special Uncle he was in my life, but I'll never forget him.
