May 6th, 1955 - May 4th, 2021
Tim Chism passed away on May 4, 2021 in Amarillo, TX at the age of 65. He was born on May 6, 1955 in Amarillo, TX to Orin and Beverly Chism, both passed. He is survived by his daughter, Jenny; son, Thomas; his favorite aunt Kewpie Bay; and his beloved cats, Rascal, Chili Dog, French Fry & Smokey. Tim was born and raised in Amarillo, TX. His favorite childhood game was "purse." He would "borrow" one of his mother's purses, tie a rope around it, throw it in the road, and hide nearby, waiting for passerbys to take the bait. His sense of humor followed him throughout his adult life. A prankster at heart, he could never let a spam caller or telemarketer escape without a good razzing. All joking aside, he was an ambitious businessman. Tim started from a young age working in the pet food industry. He honed his skills and advanced from refrigeration to eventually consulting, and recently helped to open a new plant in Dodge City. He was passionate about his work, but even more passionate about the people in his life. Although not overtly affectionate, he always made gestures to ensure the folks close to him knew that they were cared for and appreciated. His legacy will live on in these kind and thoughtful gestures and the memories made with family, friends and coworkers. We love you and miss you, Tim. We'll always be thinking of you. #teamtim, #go cowboys In lieu of flowers, we ask that any donations be made to North Texas Cat Rescue, in honor of Tim and his love for cats. https://www.paypal.com/donate?hosted_button_id=G4CKL86G56WXN

It was my pleasure and honor to have known Tim personally and professionally. The time we spent working on the Dodge City operation was some of the funniest and educational time I have ever endured…lol. The success for Shelby Amarillo and Dodge City is due to his knowledge and leadership. We miss him every day and are forever grateful for having him in our lives.

What a guy started working with Tim in 190 and had a tough time breaking thru his rough tough first impression. But after the last 10 years of friendship will miss him more than ever. The biggest miss is I was never able to go with him to go Bass fishing

Tim was honestly the most private but caring man I ever had the pleasure of working with . He was always there when I needed him and both personally and professionally one of the biggest reasons of shelby foods success . His loss will be one I will never get over especially when the giants play the cowboys and I get all his nasty text messages . Thank you Tim for everything you have done for us in our lives . We are eternally grateful and love you .
