From the day I met Tom, he was a good friend. He passed along so much information about the historical Keys and geographical information, more than I could have garnered in any book or library. He knew it back and forth and was so pleased to share it with me. He was a true resource and a gem of a person. My heart ached for him more than once, during his lifetime, but I so admired his strength and fortitude. And he wasn't just a man, he was a gentleman. Thanks Tom, for being so kind to your sister's friend. I'll never forget you, dear.

My Favorite Uncle... I remember growing up, always following you and Gina around, going everywhere with you two.. You were a fantastic Uncle. As I got older and we talked, you always asked the important questions.. not "How are you", but "so tell me everything you have been doing since I last saw you".. you were always interested in everything that was going on with me.. you were a great listener... you always encouraged me, supported me, and made me feel good about what I was doing and who I was... You will be greatly missed.. I love you... Rest easy, my Favorite Uncle!!

Tom and I rode bikes together. Sometimes I would ride on the handle bars while he peddled. We filled Xmas balls with gunpowder, stuck a fire cracker fuse in the hole, lit it then ran like hell. One time we didn't run fast enough and Tom caught some shrapnel. I think Eileen had to pick out the pieces with tweezers. I remember his laugh. Sometimes he would start laughing and i thought he would never stop.. His laugh was honest. He had the enviable gift of being big and strong but kind and gentle. He was unique. And if nothing else, he was lovable. The world was a better place with Tom in it.

There are people that come into your life that you will always love because of the love they showed you and Tom was definitely one of those people for me. You were such a sweet man and I’m so blessed to have known you for the time I did. I look forward to seeing you again one day. Thank you for showing me that there are good men in the world❤️
