With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Terry Preston Glondys of Venice, Fl. She passed away on July 24th after suffering from pulmonary fibrosis for nearly 10 years. She was 77 years old.

Terry is survived by her loving husband, Ron, her 3 children, Beth Galvan, Jay Acker and Danny Palmer, all of whom reside in Texas, her brother Grant Preston and his wife Sharon from New Hope, AL and a spoiled rescue dog named Dexter.  She was grandmother to 7 and great grandmother to 3.

In addition to reading, she enjoyed playing mahjong, trivia and 90’s country music.  She also loved dogs as they were always a huge part of her life.

Terry was born in Lynchburg, VA and lived in Harrisonburg, VA for many years prior to moving to Texas in 1978.  In 2006, she and Ron retired and moved to Venice.

She brought immeasurable joy and light into everyone’s lives and will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life will be planned for a future date where Terry would like everyone to raise a glass in her honor and tell your favorite memory of her.  A celebration will be planned for FL family and friends and another planned for TX family and friends.

I am so sorry to hear of Terry's passing. We shared our early lives growing up on Campbell Street close to her Grandma, Vera. She made life interesting for me thru high school. Such a good cousin and family. Our periodical meetings enabled us to relive our childhood memories. That Preston smile always made me happy. May God Bless her! I will miss her greatly. Cousin Chip

I never had the pleasure of meeting Terry but her son, Danny, has spoken so fondly of his mom. He and I are business colleagues and he is hard working, honest, smart & dedicated in all he does. I can tell his momma raised him and her children well. She must have been a remarkable woman! I pray for your comfort as you process this great loss. May God bless you with the strength to celebrate her life! ❤️
