Terry was an amazing young man. He attended school at Meridian High School and this year, he was a straight A student. He had many friends and varied interests. He had a great love for musical theatre. He loved listening to music and podcasts and was rarely without his headphones. He enjoyed drama, D&D, and time with his friends. He loved playing and learning new instruments and was mostly self taught. He learned several instruments including the ukulele, then moved to the keyboard, and on the lyre. He taught himself to read music and write it. While learning these instruments, his parents didn't always hear the best of sounds coming from his bedroom. But after some time, it was beautiful music. He had learned to play them nicely. This semester he had even started to write a musical with original characters.

Terry was amazing at anything he set his mind too. He had the vocabulary of a man far beyond his years. At times, his parents had to ask him to stop and give us a definition. He also had an amazing sense of humor and will always be remembered for how witty he could be. This man could have conquered the world if he set his mind to it. For anyone in our lives who had the pleasure of meeting Terry, you all know what a funny, brilliant, beautiful, strong soul he was. He was determined, loving, and an advocate for all. His heart was so full of love. If you were lucky to be his friend he would do anything for you. He was an amazing son, brother, nephew, friend and individual.

Last year in costume design, him and i sat on the floor of the class room the entire 90 minutes just watching algorithm sorting videos in silence. it was fun and i enjoyed it. When he got a new job, he came up to me at our previous job and told me about it. i was so excited for him! he was a great friend and a great coworker

I had the privilege of being one of Terry's aunts. Even though there was a large age difference between us, we had a lot of things in common with our varied nerdy interests and love of theatre. Terry was wise and kind beyond his sixteen years, and I always loved talking to him about his interests, and trying to introduce him to some of my own. We definitely needed more time together. There will always be events, stories, or memes that I'll want to share with Terry for the rest of my life. I feel so lucky that I got to know him and also appreciate his family and friends who will continue to help keep his memory alive.

As Terry's parents, we have so many memories of his amazing life. He was always a man on a mission. Anything he set his mind to he could conquer - except for whistling which was the one thing he tried his whole life without mastering. In the last couple of years, he had a huge love for making and playing music. First, it started with the keyboard. One of his friends started teaching him. Not long after that, he taught himself to read and write music. After he conquered the keyboard he moved on to the Ukulele, and we do believe this instrument was all self-taught with the help of youtube. His latest instrument he had just bought was the Lyre. The lyre is pretty unique, and we were excited to hear what would become of it. We chose this picture for Terry as it signifies the independence and happiness of the life he was creating. We started doing the driver's permit training hours for his license. This would give him the freedom to get out and see his friends, get to work, and do what he wanted without many restrictions. The smile on his face says it all. These test hours were not always the happiest as he was getting critiqued and corrected. By the time he did his driving test, he was a better driver than his dad. :) The instructor told us he was an amazing driver and did very well. This Summer, at 16 years old, Terry got his first job at Wahooz. He didn't always love working but enjoyed the money and independence. A few weeks ago, he applied for another job and was hired. He had improved his hourly pay and had more stable hours. He was making amazing decisions to better his life and his work life. Terry was a Junior at Meridian High School and beginning to think about plans after graduation. We knew his passions would always be art, music, or theatre and we never discouraged that path. Terry would tell you that a "more lucrative choice would be Computer Science or for him to be a 'businessman' of some kind". Our lives are forever changed by having the privilege to be this young man's parents. Our hearts are forever broken by his absence in our family. Terry - we hope to honor you and will always remember you and your beautiful soul. We love you, and we will always miss you. Dad & Mom
