Terri Lynn McSweeney

Terri Lynn McSweeney was a gifted mother, daughter, wife, and volunteer. Born in California on July 22, 1961 to Jane Marie Dugan and Charles McConnell, she grew up attending school and taking care of her brothers and sister. Terri attended Sylmar High School and graduated with an Associates Degree from Pierce College. During college, she met her husband, Edward McSweeney, Jr., on a blind date and they were married in Woodland Hills, California in 1984. Together they loved to travel and even spent their honeymoon in Ireland before coming home to begin a family. Terri is survived and loved by her three children: Christie, E.C. and Victoria. Terri had a passion for volunteering, and she planned events and fundraisers for St. Mel Catholic School, Louisville High School and Crespi High School every opportunity she was given. For anyone who met Terri, it was immediately apparent that she was a fun-loving, kind and compassionate person. She was an active and loved member of St. Mel Catholic Church, where many lifelong friends were made. We are all devastated by this loss, and as her husband and children, we will strive to carry on her legacy of caring for others through our lives. Due to gathering restrictions as a result of Covid-19, Terri's family held a private mass and burial service at Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary. If you wish to visit Terri, she can be found in the San Fernando Mission Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, we request that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or the charity of your choice.
