Teddy Jacobson
December 17th, 1984 - October 26th, 2022
December 17th, 1984 - October 26th, 2022
Theodore Louis (Teddy) Jacobson passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 26th, 2022 in New York, NY. Teddy was a deeply beloved partner, friend, brother, son, and dog dad.
Teddy was born December 17th, 1984 in New York to Matthew Jacobson of Ridgefield, CT and Elizabeth Osborn of Cleveland, OH. Growing up he excelled in academics and athletics, competing in baseball, basketball, and soccer. In soccer, he was varsity captain at Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, OH and inspired the annual Theodore L. Jacobson award before graduating in 2004. Teddy completed his Bachelor of Business Administration at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX and graduated with honors in 2008.
Teddy was a passionate and devoted professional and achieved many successes in his field of digital marketing. Most recently he created and implemented several successful products in growth monetization for the mobile gaming space.
Teddy’s greatest loves were his significant other Rayhaneh, his rescue dog George, his many incredible friends, and sister Leah. He was a talented golfer and Seinfeld aficionado. He enjoyed reading and writing, history, traveling, seeing movies, and being outdoors, especially taking George to hunt squirrels in Central Park. Critically, Teddy was an ardent supporter of the New York Yankees and Arsenal F.C.
Everywhere he went, Teddy made friends that included people from all walks of life. He put others before himself and freely offered help anywhere it was needed. He’ll be remembered best for his kind and loving nature, his sharp sense of humor (+ style!), his thoughtfulness, sensitivity, tremendous grace, and joyful presence. Teddy delighted all who were lucky enough to know him. He will be missed beyond words.
Teddy is survived by his significant other, Rayhaneh Sharif-Askary of New York, father Matthew Jacobson, mother Elizabeth Osborn, sisters Leah and Joan Cary, brother Eric, and nephew Elliot, as well as grandfather Merritt Osborn and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Thinking of you, Teddy, on what would be your 38th birthday. I still can’t believe you’re really gone. I’ve looked up to you, Leah and Cary since we were teeny; the older siblings that I always wanted. You were so cool, so funny, so gregarious. In our 20s, you were the epitome of New York City. Nights out with you and your crew were some of my fondest (and most crazy) memories. In the more recent years, hearing about your plans to settle down and start a family, I was thrilled we were going to be close by and would one day get the baby cousins together. I was looking forward to these slower, older years, enjoying the simpler moments - and I know you were too. You were taken from us far too soon, and only God knows why it was time. I like to believe you are in a much, much better place now, hopefully with Abby and Grandma et al, where we will all meet again one day. George will be there, too! Lots of love to you today on the celebration of your birth and your fabulous time on this earth. We will miss you always!

Middle school was by far some of the worst years of my life, but Teddy was my best and often only friend. I am heartbroken to hear of his passing and terribly sad we did not keep in touch over the years. Although the last time I saw him was many many years ago, I have fond memories of how excited we both were to see and know the other was doing well and thriving. Sad. Im just really sad. Praying for his partner, family and friends.

My wife and I were very sorry to hear about Teddy's passing. Teddy and I lived together in Tribeca during our 20s and had a great friendship. Teddy was a very social, popular guy and had a lot of close family and friends. I would like to send along my condolences to Teddy's family and those closest to him. Rest in peace, Teddy.

Teddy.. I am clutching at my memories of you.. One of the most caring, empathic human beings I have ever known. When you lived in Covington, I often would find the most interesting and thoughtful of gifts by my door. One in particular was a care package for my dog Tito, with an assortment of dog treats sticking out of a Tito’s bottle and a note from King George. This world will forever be missing your wondrous and loving spirit. So long for now my dear, dear friend !!
