Pack Family - Alison, Michael, Lindsey + Robin
I am so proud to call myself a friend to Sun. Our family had the good fortune of knowing her by proximity as we are neighbors on Judy Ln. After her husband passed, Sun came to realize that she could lean on our family for help around the house. Though she did not ask often, I welcomed every opportunity to give back to her. Sun's words of loving encouragement to me and the love she gave to my children was such a gift to my life. I miss her dearly and grieve the loss of the bright light she shined on me and her community.

I love Sun and will miss her terribly. She was a sister and a confidant. I could tell her anything and she would just listen and never judge. So humble. So wise. So generous. When John brought my new sister home from Korea, we became quick friends and neighbors. In the beginning she needed help adjusting, but it didn’t take long. She’s amazing. Side by side she and John raised their family, and businesses. Through the ups and downs of the different economies and storms, and life events, they flourished. Sun didn’t need a degree in business and finance. She had a supernatural instinct for retail. I used to laugh the way she would buy items and bring them home and tell me how she negotiated the price with the retailer. I didn’t even know you could do that! Her brain calculated things so fast. It was incredible. She had a computer and a program at the store, but I don’t think she needed it. She could tell you the location and cost of every single item in her store and her inventory at home, (every trillion one of them). But as much as she loved her store, her family was always her priority. Her love for life, family and friends is depicted in the name she chose for her store, Precious Gifts. They were all precious to her. She only wished she could spend more time with everyone. You can now rest Sun. Til we meet again, when we will have plenty of time to catch up.

Aunt Sun was one of the most generous persons I have ever met. Whenever we would have family gatherings over the years she would always, without a doubt, shower us or our children with many gifts. She was also so, so funny. Her humor was like no other. She was just a beautiful lady that will be missed by so many! I know she is at peace and is so happy to be with Uncle John now. Anita, Michael, and Linda had two amazing parents who loved them fiercely and gave them a beautiful example of two loving parents and grandparents and it will be carried on with them forever. My heart is with you all!

I have known Mrs. Pacylowski and the Pacylowski family since I was in the fourth grade with Annie. As a child, Mrs. Pacylowski welcomed me into their home on Judy Lane for sleepovers, games of hide & seek, playing in the pool, to enjoy her amazing Korean cooking or to share a glass of Tang with Annie and her siblings (she always had a pitcher of Tang ready to pour). Those are just a few of my childhood memories of her. Fast forward 18 years after high school, our families found ourselves reuniting. Our boys were at GCS (in the same grade) with Grace & Jackson. Who would have imagined that our families would be back in each other's lives so many years later? She was always so kind and welcoming to our boys. When I was with her during those times I felt like I was reliving my childhood memories with her and her family . I feel so fortunate that my family had the opportunity to spend those times with her. Mrs. Pacylowski, you will be missed. XO

Somewhat recently I shared a salad and Ledo's pizza with Sun in her home. We spent time laughing at memories, sharing pictures, boasting about our respective children and grand children and also crying over both our cancer journeys. After we both lamented on how much cancer SUCKS...she looked at me and said, with her beautiful Korean accent, "Peggy....we gotta SNAP OUT OF IT! We will both do what we have to do for as long as we can do, and then when we cannot do anymore, well...then.... I guess we will be done doing. It makes no sense for us to cry about it, so I insist we stop right now. No more pity party....this is PIZZA PARTY!!" We did indeed snap out of it...and pizza party has a new special meaning for me ever since! You are "done doing" sweet Sun, and now your broken heart is mended, you are with your missing half.
