Steven Joseph Wilson
December 15th, 1960 - February 18th, 2024
December 15th, 1960 - February 18th, 2024
Steven J. Wilson, 63, of Parkersburg passed away February 18th. 2024, at his home.
He was born on December 15th, 1960, in Parkersburg, WV. He is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Wilson, father, Asa Wilson, sister, Pam Wilson, and brother Michael Wilson.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Wilson, his sisters, Vickie Kerrigan, and Christa Butterfield, and brother Asa Wilson. His four sons, six daughters, many grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Steven was a true country boy through and through. Known well for his love of all things outdoors, fishing, hunting, woodwork, or anything he could do to keep his hands busy. He found joy in his family and helping others. Everyone knew him for his ability to drop anything to come and help when and where he was needed no matter what. He was a jack of all trades, from woodwork, painting, carpentry, to artwork there was not much he could not do. He loved all things chocolate and sweets, known for his sweet tooth. We believe ice cream companies near and far will have a noticeably large decline in sales from his passing.
He will be truly missed by all his family, and friends who will cherish their memories and find peace in knowing he will be at his favorite fishing spot in heaven waiting to see us all again.
His family is honoring his wishes of cremation and will be holding memorial services open to friends and family that will be shared at a later date.
