Stephen Miguel Jerome Maez

Stephen Miguel Jerome Maez, age 34, our beloved son was called to heaven to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on June 24, 2021.  Stephen passed away at his home in Santa Fe, NM.  Stephen was born on November 17, 1986, in Santa Fe and was a parishioner of Santa Maria de la Paz Catholic Community.  He graduated from Santa Fe High in 2005.

Stephen was truly loved by so many.  He loved his family, especially his daughter, Jaylene Amanda Maez, and he was a such good son, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend to so many.  He was always willing to help a family member out or a friend in need.  Stephen had a very unique personality and his sense of style was all his own.  He was a diehard Dallas Cowboy fan.

Stephen is survived by his daughter, who was his pride and joy, Jaylene Amanda Maez; his loving mother, Janice Maez; his loving father, Amado (Anthony) Maez; his godparents, Lisa and Mike Gabaldon; Aunts: Paula Roybal (Eddy); Valerie Gallegos (Brian); Josie Acevedo (Fernando).  Cousins:  Ron Mascarenas, Jr; Stacy Sandorsky; Shawn and Justin Roybal; Aaliyah Gallegos; Angel and Dominic Acevedo, and many other relatives.

Stephen was proceeded in death by his loving and very caring sister, Amanda E Maez, his loving and sometimes crazy twin brother, Matthew J Maez; brother-in-law Pete (Lawrence) Lopez; grandparents Viola and Paul Mascarenas; Eufelia and Amado Maez; uncle Ronald A. Mascarenas; great-grandparent David and Manuelita Mascarenas and Felix and Josefita Lujan.

Pallbearers:  Amado Maez, Ron Mascarenas Jr., Eddy Roybal; Brian Gallegos; Dominick Acevedo; Marwin Espinoza-Bustos.  Honorary Pallbearers:  Shawn and Justin Roybal; Alberto and Alana Acevedo; Jaylene Maez and Aaliyah Gallegos.
