Stanley Charles Tipton was born to Addie Thomas and Charles Tipton on February 19, 1955, in Hamilton, Ohio. Stan grew up in Hamilton, OH and graduated from Taft Highschool in 1973. At the young age of 19, Stanley went to work for Armco Steel in Middletown, Ohio doing hard work as a steel worker. Later, through promotions he accepted a position in the Safety Department where he worked there for several years. Early in the 2000s AK Steel stood behind Stan as he traveled all over the United States where he did speeches and presentations to companies in his special field on safety to help those companies with their safety departments. After a long and extensive career of 43 years Stan retired and returned to Dayton, Ohio An avid fan of music, Stan learned to play guitar at a young age and went on to play professionally as he and several of his cousins formed a band in 1979. Stan’s unique and versatile sounds opened doors for him to work with local bands as his musical talents offered versatility to play Funk as well as Rock & Roll. Stan finally began using his musical genius to play for the music ministry at his home church. Stan was incapable of doing anything half-heartedly, so when he dedicated his life to Christ, he did more than just warm up the pews. He earned an Associates Degree in Theology and began making disciples everywhere he went. He took on the added challenge of studying counseling to minister and disciple as many as he could. He took his gift of discipling and counseling with him as he traveled for work enabling him to reach, touch, counsel, console, disciple, and offer help everyone that God placed in his path. Once he retired, Stan continued counseling, ministering, & discipling. Whether he was conducting a Bible Study, fishing, golfing, just out and about, Stan made an impact on all those around him. Stan is survived by his wife Angela, father Charles Tipton, His daughters Lisa Tipton, and Esther Ventus, his granddaughters Ashley, faith, & Joy Tipton, & his siblings Loraine Tipton, Walter Powell (Rita), & Daniel Powell (Michelle). Stan was preceded in death by his mother Addie Powell and his step father Walter Powell. Stan went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 11, 2020.

Minister Stan was my brother from another mother. We had a relationship going twenty plus years. We started our relationship roughly but as we got to know each other that changed, when my wife and I renewed our vows, it surprised everyone that I asked him to be my Best Man. Twice a year Stan and I would travel to the Manistee and Tittabawassee rivers in Michigan, we enjoyed those trips, it gave us time to discuss religious and world views. I will always miss those trips. Minister Stan was also there to give Valerie and I advice and support when we started VHB Ministries. I witnessed Minister Stan's ability to minister to and bring people to God. Minister Stanley Tipton, I will miss you but you are going to a better place and I am a better man for knowing you. Rest In peace my Brother.
