From the DBA programme, we are deeply grateful for the countless hours Mr. Moore dedicated to assisting our DBA candidates in preparing for their oral proposals and final examination defenses. Despite his busy schedule, he was always willing to guide our students, and his generosity did not go unnoticed or unappreciated. Our last encounter was in late July, following the final progress presentation for the academic year. On that day, he reminded me to send him the notice and schedule for the November 2024 sessions so he could make note of them. His final words remain etched in my memory, and I continue to draw wisdom from them. Rest in peace, Mr. Moore. Your impact and legacy will never be forgotten.

Student-centered Trustworthy Approachable Nurturing Mentor Open-hearted Outstanding Resourceful Engaging Stan Moore’s legacy at UWI Mona is one of dedication, generosity, and unwavering commitment to student success. He was more than a lecturer and deputy dean—he was a mentor, a guide, and a source of wisdom for all who had the privilege of knowing him. His selflessness in giving his time, finances, and knowledge made a lasting impact, and his influence will continue to inspire generations to come.

Stan was the best. He was first one of my lecturers - I did Operations Management with him in 1997 where he stood out as an excellent communicator and teacher, as a colleague - one to whom I sent students who needed guidance, and as a friend - he was a good, decent, wonderful human being. I have unfinished business with Stan. In the Operations Management exam, after dutifully working out a question, my answer was not among the options offered. I raised my hand and Stan, who was in the exam room listened to my concern, let the room, came back and there was an announcement of changes to a question. My answer appeared! To this day, I do not know if I actually got it right, or if I made a royal fool of myself. He walked the talk and he left an indelible mark as one who truly cared about student success. His legacy is one to be emulated. Walk good Stan. You are sorely missed.

Uncle Stan, can't believe you are gone. You have been a staple in my life from I was a little girl, right through to adulthood. We may not have always been in contact but invariably, no matter where I was in the world, you would find me. In 2023, once again you searched and contacted me out of the blue. I am so grateful that you were once again part of my life up until your sad passing. Will always be grateful for you! You made sure I knew that I mattered to you and that meant more than you ever knew. Love you and will surely miss you.

They say blood is thicker than water but Uncle stan proved that blood alone doesn't make you family. He was definitely like family to me and a staple figure in my life. He will be missed dearly.
