With deep love and sadness, we remember Stacey Lynn Starkman.
Stacey leaves behind her husband Michael, children (and their partners) Kaela (Sarah), Jordana (Becca), and Robbie (Janna), and grandchild Lyla.
We all love Stacey so much. As Michael has said, she was too big for this world. She will be missed deeply and loved forever by everyone whose life she touched—and she touched so many with her warmth, compassion, unending thoughtfulness, insightful wit, and larger-than-life presence.
Please share a memory or photo of Stacey as a tribute, or leave a message for the family below.

I am so sorry for your loss. I am thinking of your family during this most difficult time. I met Stacey in school at about age 11 or 12 in New York City. We lived a block away from each other. I more recently reconnected with Stacey through a mutual friend Cindy and on FB. We even met for lunch a few years ago in New York. It was like old times, as if we never were separated by the many years. I will always remember her fondly.

Stacey’s dad Marvin and my mother Fay were close first cousins. I have many fond memories of spending time with Stacey and her brother Yitz in the lower east side where our grandmothers lived. We reconnected later in life and spent a lovely weekend together in Toronto with Michael, Stacey and Robbie. Recently we talked about seeing each other again. I am so incredibly sad that I won’t get to see my sweet cousin again, but I know that her memory lives on in her 3 wonderful children and grandchild. Sending all my love and condolences to Michael, Kaela, Jordana and Robbie With love, Cousin Andrea and family

Whenever I think of Stacey I get an immediate image of her talking, passionately. It makes me smile. She was vibrant, colourful and always had on the most eclectic earrings, a true reflection of her joyous personality

I am lucky enough to be one of Jordy's friends who got to hang out with Stacey and Michael when they came to visit Jordy in Brooklyn and get the real Stacey tour of Flatbush. I will never forget her joy walking through her childhood neighborhood and telling us stories of her "long" walk from her apartment to school and the library, and for a second I got to feel how lucky Jordy, Kaela, and Robbie are to have her as a mom when she said she was proud of me for drinking egg creams like a real New Yorker. I've never met anyone so full of love and life and pride and you can never see that more clearly than seeing it shine through her kids in their love of life and pride in each other and their whole family. Love you all so much
