Sonal, When you first joined Delta, I reached out to you for a picture that we could use to introduce you to the team, and you sent the one up there. When I saw it, I remember thinking you have a warm and lovely smile. Your smile will be missed, as will your warm presence. We will think of you every time we hear the word "union" (which is pretty much every single day). I'm so sorry you were taken from your family and friends, but am happy you'll forever reside among the stars. <3 Nate - please accept our deepest condolences.

I am so sorry to hear of Sonal's passing. Sonal and I spent a lot of time together in union negotiations, creating a friendship. I was devastated when I heard, and was even more sad that we never did the play date with our girls like we wanted to. Always thinking there is more time. I am so very sorry to your family and friends for a tremendous loss.

Sonal, it feels so strange leaving a tribute for you. We were just chatting and laughing about such benign things the other day. You were such a smart, interesting, inquisitive soul. I wish nothing but the best for the family you leave behind. May they, and us, find solace in your memory. I hope you enjoy your time in space <3, maybe I'll meet you again there someday.

Sonal, I am so saddened with your passing. Not a day has gone by where I haven't thought about you and your caring presence. Your sense of curiosity and thoughtfulness has left a profound impact on all of those that you have touched on your too-short journey. I will always remember how your face lit up when talking about your family and the life you built together. The pictures you proudly shared of your daughter, the joy you had with the simple and important things in life, and the home you proudly created. Thank you for sharing your heart and soul with us that will always be fondly remembered. Nate & Carmela - there was nothing more important to Sonal than you. Her entire being would sparkle when she spoke of you! There is comfort knowing Sonal will be flying with the stars and watching over us everyday.

Sonal-to say you were a wealth of knowledge would be an understatement. You pulled from so many different life experiences and did your best to make situations relevant and for others to learn from. You were one of the most educated, confident, humble and hard working women I have ever met and I cannot believe it wasn't even one full year we worked together for. Your passion for food, gardening, Carmela and your family was so energizing. I appreciated our in office lunches of Eat a Pita or Thai whenever possible and hearing about how proud you were of your daughter and your fondest memories of her growing up. How cool it is to be so passionate about space and for Nate and Carmela to honor you and your ashes by sending you out there so we can remember you whenever we look up at the stars. I miss you already and it so cruel not seeing your name pop up in emails anymore nor being able to ping you to get your opinion on something via teams. Thank you again for all of the sentimental hand me downs from Carmela. As you know my love for lady bugs, this swaddle with the lady bug hat was one of our favorites right after Isa was born. Miss you so much friend.

Sonal, it makes me sad every time I realize you've gone from this world. My heart goes out to your loving family whom I know will miss you deeply. I'm so glad to have known you, even for a short time. You were such a beautiful soul with a calm demeanor and subtle strength. You were very intelligent and knew your stuff. We talked regularly about gardening and your family - two things you clearly loved. I will miss having you here, though LOVE that you'll be among the stars.
