Fiona's mom was her most precious thing in the world, she was her everything, and her motivation for everything she did…their bond was so strong.. she told me so many stories of how her mom looked out for her when she was growing up, protected her, cared for her, put her baby daughter first above all else.. the divorce from her father, all the years living in Beijing going to school, growing up..So many things happened, and her mom was there for it all.. she never missed a moment with her precious daughter… and she's the reason my Fiona grew up to the incredible, caring, and loving woman that she is. The 10 years living in Beijing w/ her mom were her mom's happiest years, she would tell me. When Fiona moved to the US, her mom was devastated, but supportive.. we tried to have her come visit as much as we could. Fiona worked hard here, started a career, we started a family, while always keeping mom in our thoughts.. My love bought her nice things and spoiled her whenever she could. We took her on trips, and let her see a little more of the world. We never thought she would leave us so soon, we still had so many adventures we wanted to share with her. She was an incredible woman, incredibly caring, and spirited. This is a deep and terrible loss. Please feel free to leave some words of support for Fiona as she goes through this difficult time.
