Vasantbhai Sheth

With great sadness we announce that Vasantbhai Sheth, beloved husband of Sadhnaben, father of Vince and Ricky, father-in-law of Kinjal and Anjali and grandfather of Shania and Jaynik passed away peacefully on Feb 17, 2024 at Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital.

During his lifetime he was exceptionally committed to promoting the virtues of Jainism within his community and family. He was one of the founding presidents of the Jain Society of Toronto in the early 1970s. He touched the lives of thousands of individuals with his passionate musical performances and Pujas within temples and homes around the world.

Throughout all phases of his life he fulfilled his deeply rooted sense of duty to his family both here in Canada and in India. He sponsored his brothers to facilitate their migration to Canada in the late 1960s and financially supported loved one in India during his entire life.

His compassion for people was never ending and was exemplified by the care he provided for over 40 years of service as a Physiotherapist both in India and Canada. He inspired both of his sons to pursue careers in Healthcare.

He will forever be remembered for his kindness and dedication to family, friends and community.
