Sheila Ann Bremer
May 4th, 1942 - December 20th, 2024
May 4th, 1942 - December 20th, 2024
Sheila Ann Bremer was an artist, a teacher, a wife and a mother.
She passed away on the afternoon of Friday December 20, 2024 surrounded by her loving husband Victor, and their two adult sons, Joel and Noah, near her home in Everett, WA.
Sheila loved being a mother and taught her sons to value all people as equals. She loved her husband Victor of 55 years, and lived with him in California, Minnesota, Illinois and Washington State.
Born and raised in New York to Father Milton, and Mother Yetta, Sheila was the second oldest of four, Richard, Irene and Larry who all loved her very much.
Sheila loved teaching and loved kids, younger ages gravitated towards her gentleness and older kids towards her generosity, often bringing home college kids she worked with from various jobs for the holidays when they needed a place to go.
A beloved wife, mother, friend and sister, the world was a brighter place for her being part of it. She touched the hearts of all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

In my youth, Sheila encouraged me to pursue art fearlessly. Our conversations surrounding creativity left a lasting impression. I deeply respected her practical advice and perspective, while being curious about mine. My sincere condolences to the Bremer family, she will be truly missed. - Charlie

Sheila and I became friends over 50+ years ago while both of us attended Queens College in NYC in the art/ed department. Sheila chose to teach elementary children while I chose secondary. Over the years we both settled on the west coast with our husbands and started our families. The friendship now included Sheila's two sons and my son and daughter. Thanksgiving dinners became a ritual until we moved from WA State to HI. Our visits continued over the years with frequent phone calls and occasional in person visits. We dearly loved each other. I shall miss my dear friend Sheila, a gentle and kind person.
