🕊️ In Loving Memory of Shane Carl Legg

January 4, 1982 – July 25, 2025

Welcome to this space honoring the life of Shane Carl Legg—a man of deep charisma, warmth, and complexity. Shane’s light touched many lives, and while his passing leaves pain, it also reminds us of the enduring bonds of love.

Born at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida, Shane came into the world on January 4, 1982, the beloved son of Steven Carl Legg and Donna Louise Young. He passed away unexpectedly on July 25, 2025.

Shane is survived by his three children—Kylee Legg (22), Ethan Legg (12), and Thomas Legg (2).  He also leaves behind his parents, his sisters Mallori Legg and Tiffany Legg, his aunt Debra Schrock, his partner and mother of his youngest child Jackee Freeland. A wide circle of friends and extended family continue to hold him close in memory.

His natural charisma was evident from an early age and remained a defining part of his life.

We invite you to share your memories, photos, or kind words here so that Shane’s family—and especially his children—can revisit the love and impact he left behind.

💞 Supporting Shane’s Family

In the wake of Shane’s passing, many have asked how they can help. A GoFundMe campaign has been created to support the five individuals most affected by his absence:

  • Kylee Legg (22-year-old daughter)

  • Ethan Legg (12-year-old son)

  • Thomas Legg (2-year-old son)

  • Jackee Freeland (partner and mother of Thomas)

  • Stefanie Grader (mother of Ethan)

Each beneficiary will receive 20% of the funds raised. Additionally, 529 college savings accounts will be established for Ethan and Thomas to support their future educational expenses.

This fund was created in lieu of flowers, as a way for friends and family to provide lasting support and stability to those Shane loved most.
