Thankful for the lives you touched, the meaning you gave to many and the courage and faith with which you faced your last days We could go on and on, but I believe heaven keeps the best record. We would not mourn like those without hope ( because we know our hope is not just on things in this world). I pray for your parents that God that knows how to do this kind of comforting will reach them. I pray for Supo and Tofunmi ( I see your face in her eyes) that they would go on and excel and be more than you had all you dreamed for them. I am believing God for Bose that she would not be broken, but would find all she needs to live, to be really happy, to fly and be all God wants for her. Didun ni iranti olododo...you will always be remembered by all the hearts that loved you. God, we accept! #SeyiLivesOn

2013, I was called by a head of a Federal Parastatal to travel down to submit my CV the following day, I joyful responded and I hit the road the following day with high expectations of getting the job. Having submitted my CV in November, 2013 I waited for call from that November, 2013 through 2014, no response from the parastatal again. Between the period of waiting, I engaged in prayers of all sorts. I praised every prayers, to no avail. Sometimes in 2014 I visited Pastor Seyi in the office then in Surulere, Babs Animashaun. I narrated my ordeal and my previous experiences and several dissappointments. He counselled me, prayed with me and referred me to as a matter of urgency go get a book: Blessing or Curse You may choose by Derrick Prince. That was the game changer for me. Precisely, 5th January, 2015 I was called to resume work immediately. I traveled down from Lagos God began an incredible journey in my life through that singular encounter. The bigger testimony was that they started paying me even when i hadnt resume work. I have had several testimonies today. Thank you PST Seyi. May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace! Amen.

Shocked to hear that you have gone to be with the Lord. I haven't seen you in years but I will remember you as you always were. Always smiling, unfazed, a kind word or joke ready to share. They say the good ones always leave early. You were one of the good ones. Till we meet again at Jesus Christ side.

Pastor Seyi as I love to call you. I don't why I still find it so hard to believe you're gone. But you know what they say, God only takes the best. Everything happens for a reason, Even if we may not agree. The thought of never seeing you again brings tears to my eyes, And even more so, Because all of this was such a surprise. But we should never question what God has planned, Sometimes it's not meant for us to understand. So as we sit here and mourn the loss of a beloved friend and mentor, We have to keep telling ourselves that we will meet again.

Exactly a week today as I stood by your bed, nothing could have prepared me for your demise. Not your voice, not your look, not your resolve. I was certain we were winning until that horrible phone call in the early hours of Wednesday. I'm still in denial. Bishop, your life was the gospel that led us all to Christ. You rarely needed to use the scripture to turn anyone over to God, you simply showed us through your humility, your kind and generous heart, your gentle mien, your ever present and supportive self, your ready smile. You wouldn't judge, you wouldn't condemn. I saw Christ in you. You came into our family as an in-law about 20 years ago but quickly became the big brother my sisters and I needed. A compass, a shield, a mentor, a friend and a dependable ally. You kept us in church without a struggle. Remember those times you would drop an envelope in Landip so we can have funds to church? Those days you would wait for us in Idimu so we can go to church together? You were preaching Christ without opening the bible. Those days in the tiny 2-bedroom in Ebun. You were newly married and didn't need to take us all in like you did. Yet, you were happiest when the house was full. We would rent movies, sit around the TV and drink coca-cola. You would join the bathroom queue. You had enough love to go round and make a tiny space seem so huge. Your heart was too large for one human, you gave of yourself to everyone who encountered you. Those years I struggled to get admitted to Uni, you were my rock. When I felt like a failure, you assured me I was a star, a story waiting to be written. Our plans in recent years; author, politician, woman leader, good governance advocate, fashion guru, the many feathers you enthusiastically pinned on me. What happens to these plans now, Bishop? I'm so confused. I'm grateful I had the chance to tell you how much I admire the man you are, especially to my Aunt Bose and my babies Supo and Tofunmi. You loved your family to the very end, nothing was too much to give them or do for them. You couldn't be bothered about patriarchal roles, you simply showed up and did whatever was necessary, with love. I once told you how important you're in our family tree. You're the all round stand-up guy! I love you Pastor Seyi and i'm truly sorry I couldn't do more to keep you with us longer. I would have sacrificed anything if it could have made a difference. This isn't goodbye, it's goodnight from Oyinda Sanusi.
