Though our family didn’t have the good fortune of knowing Sean as well as others, I do know that he was one of the kindest and most supportive men and fathers I have encountered in the sporting community in New Canaan. He always had a kind word and praise for my son, who is a friend and peer to Riley. This always left a warm spot in my heart for him. He will be missed by all those who he touched with his graciousness.

There are no words to describe what an amazing man Sean portrayed. He was always there for you, full of encouragement and kind words. His industry knowledge was unsurpassed yet always amazingly humble. While long patios of time might go by between seeing him, when we got together, it always felt like I had just seen him yesterday. Riley, his love for you beamed out of him in every conversation. Clearly you were his world! Sean will be very dearly missed!

Whether you were 5 or 50 you always had fun at Seans house. If he knew you a day or a lifetime he treated you as family. Come on over…pools open, the more the merrier he would say. Every time I rolled up Seans driveway there were kids laughing and jumping on the trampoline or in the pool. As soon as you stepped foot in the yard Sean would offer you a cold drink or an incredible smoked brisket he had been trying to perfect. Sean made everyone feel welcome. He loved grilling, he loved busting chops w/ friends but most importantly he loved his son. From camp outs to ropes courses and arcades he loved taking Riley and his friends on adventures near and far. Nothing made Sean happier than seeing Riley and his friends laughing and having fun. You could see it on his face grinning ear to ear as the boys cannon balled into the pool…nothing better! Sean wanted the best for Riley and sometimes that didn’t involve fun adventures in the woods. One recent summer I remember Sean having Riley do extra math each week for the entire summer. At the time Riley probably wasn’t too pleased, but someday he will appreciate all that Sean taught him. Not the least of which is a love for good hard classic rock! One Halloween night Sean was at my house. A bunch of people were hanging out by the backyard fire pit. Sean asked if he could use his iPhone to tap into my Sonos speakers. I said of course..and so began a solid hour long set of Seans favorite classic rock anthems. A great time was had by all and everyone went home. Later that night I woke up in bed around 3:00AM to the sound of power chords coming from outside. Somehow, Seans playlist randomly kicked back on blasting AC/DC Back in Black. I wasn’t too pleased at 3:00Am and texted Sean to let him know as I sat there laughing. I hope when Riley hears a familiar rock ballad like Back in Black, he looks up and thinks of his Dad. I know I will

The way I remember him, laughing, joking and so full of joy - even the carnival stopped for him

Sean was my beloved football sideline buddy. He was a wonderful friend, outstanding human being, and incredibly proud and engaged father. He could be found at just about every game (home and away for both 6 Red and Black teams as well as High School games) cheering on the boys, rallying the crowd, and volunteering on the sidelines. His energy and positive spirit were nothing short of contagious. Even in the most nail-biting situations, you could count on Sean to make a witty and hilarious comment about the opponent. His path left a wake of smiles and laughter. Absolutely unforgettable.
