Fins up!!
Sandy Denise Kiser exploded into life with a burst of fiery red-haired energy on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1976 in Meridian, Mississippi. She was a force to be reckoned with from day one! As her older sister, I can say that with the utmost of confidence, awe, amusement and sometimes sisterly frustration. Aside from her feistiness, she was a loyal friend to many others who miss her sweet smile and presence. She was well known for her love of her nephews, Alex and Jason who both called her TyTy because she tried to coach Alex into calling her Tia, or aunt in Spanish as a toddler. Instead, he repeated "TyTy" back to her, which stuck, instead of Tia. When Sandy suddenly left us on September 27, 2024 after a brief illness, her many friends in the Atlanta Parrothead Club, Dragon Con and family were left saddened and shocked to lose her. We will be honoring her memory at the end of an upcoming family cruise trip. She was an avid cruiser and a shark lover, so our family will be hiding cruise ducks dressed as sharks named after friends and family who loved her, despite her crazy love for the Georgia Tech Yellowjackets. We miss her and would love to hear from any of her friends, far away family, or anyone who finds her memory ducks on the Celebrity Beyond. Additionally, several people have asked where they could donate money in her memory. We have chosen an organization started by two people close to her heart, Jeff Pike and Kathy Mullin. They founded Mullen's Miracles after Kathy lost her son to suicide. Sandy supported her friends in life and we are confident that she would be happy with this choice. On the donation page, you can choose In Memory of and then fill in her name in the note box. We appreciate everyone who has reached out to us since her passing a year ago. https://mullensmiracles.org/
