Sandra Kay Torris

Sandra Kay Torris, 73, of Parkersburg, passed away June 17, 2019 at Willows Center in Parkersburg, West Virginia. Sandy was born December 31, 1945 in Parkersburg to the late Goldie Pickens and Goldie’s husband at the time. She grew up in South Parkersburg and graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1963. She held a variety of office positions in banking, real estate, and with the United States Census Bureau. She loved animals dearly and almost all of her life had a dog and/or cats. She was fun-loving and independent and will be remembered for her keen intelligence, ever-present sense of humor, and loving heart. She is survived by daughter Courtney Kerns (Erik Scott) and granddogs Sunny and Maya of Grand Rapids, Minnesota, brother Roger Pickens of Parkersburg and sister Carolyn Lockhart of Williamstown, nephew Sean Dailey of Napoleon, Ohio, and former husband and steadfast friend Ronald Kerns of Parkersburg.
