Spoorthi Dingari
Sreenivas' Daughter
Sreenivas Dingari
August 6th, 1963 - January 8th, 2024
August 6th, 1963 - January 8th, 2024
Sreenivas Dingari lived life as a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend to many. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his whole family on the evening of January 8, 2024, after braving a hard-fought journey with Lymphoma. He was 60 years old.
Sreenivas was born on August 6, 1963 in Hyderabad, India. He is predeceased by his father, Rangachary Dingari, mother, Ranganayaki Pyaraka Dingari, and younger sister, Shailaja Dingari.
Sreenivas was married in 1989 to Kanakadurga, and they soon brought a son Chaitanya into the world in 1990. They had a daughter, Spoorthi, in 2000. Sreenivas was a visionary who traveled halfway across the world alone and constructed the life he wanted from scratch. He arrived in America in the winter of 1994 alone and with his sheer raw talent made a name for himself as a successful engineer, valued by every company he worked for. Over the last 3 decades, he built a happy, loving, and comfortable life for his wife and children. Life was not always kind to Sreenivas, but through it all, he persisted with strength and determination. He was a kind, loyal, selfless soul who lived his life for others.
Sreenivas was also an unmatched genius; the type of person who would work on complex math problems to relax. He graduated with a Bachelor’s in Technology in 1983 from the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University and a Master’s in Technology in 1985 from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. His first job was with CMC Engineering from 1985 - 1994. He then moved on to work at General Electric from 1994 - 1999, and finally, landed at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. in 1999 for the rest of his career, until he passed. At SEL, he was key in developing infrastructure that is still in use today. He was not just an employee, but a cherished mentor and friend to all. Sreenivas was one of those lucky few people whose work was their passion.
Sreenivas is survived by his wife and lifelong companion of 34 years Kanakadurga Dingari, his beloved son Chaitanya Dingari, who got married to Meena Miller in 2020, and beloved daughter, Spoorthi Dingari. He will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him.
A celebration of his life will be held on January 21, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the Dingari family home at 406 Andorra Boulevard, Chester Springs, PA 19425.

Srini's friendly smile comes to my mind when I think of him. He was a very kind and helpful person, in both technical and personal aspects. He was a go-to person whenever we were stuck with something, I admired his expertise and dedication for the work we do. We miss you Srini.

We have met in 1995 and even though our paths went different ways after two years in PA, we have stayed in touch. The departure of Sreenivas from this earth grieves us deeply. We have seen and heard nothing but kindness come from him. Our deepest sympathy and prayers for Durga and their children, extended family and friends.

I had pleasure of knowing and working with Srini from 2014 at GE and SEL. I will remember his smile and sense of humor for ever. On technical subjects I went to him countless number of times and he was always happy to help me out every time. Srini was more than co-worker. Srini, I will miss you my friend.

Our journey with Srinivas garu began in February 2009 when we moved to Home Properties of Devon. Little did we know that this move would bring us in contact with someone who would profoundly impact our lives. From the very first encounter, it was evident that Srinivas garu was more than just a neighbor. He was a pillar of support, a guiding force, and a true friend. As newcomers to the United States, the initial days were filled with uncertainties, but Srinivas garu welcomed us with open arms. In him, we found not just a neighbor but a big brother and mentor who eased our transition into a new country. He was meticulous in all the things he did, be it gardening, taking kids to classes, taking care of family and I always used to think that if can be 50% of him, it would make me better. Even though he is not physically with us any more and we miss him so much, his acts still stay with us and guides us to be a better person.
