This is extremely hard to do. Ryan is my best friend. I remember Ryan from high school, we were not exactly buddies at that point, but our groups inner mingled and we had ceossed paths a few times. Eventually we crossed paths again in our adult years. I had applied for a job at my local Blockbuster video store. As i walked in to check on the status of my application, i heard this big voice say my full name it was kind of deep and extremely loud. Long story short, he ended up putting in a "good word" for me, helping me to get the job. We became super close instantly. We worked every night together, we would then hang out after work until the wee hours of the morning. Ryan was an avid video game expert, he knew everything and anything video games. Ryan was incredibly intelligent and quick witted. One thing that cracked all of is up at the video store, was no matter how terrible a movie may have been, no matter how "B" rated, low budget, horrible, he liked it lol. He liked every movie that came in. I think Ryan had an ability to see what kind of art or direction the director of said horrible movie was going, he had a depth that nobody else had, so he could see the artistic relevance of the movie, where we all saw crap literally lol. This was funny because a customer would want to rent a movie just based on the movie cover, and would ask Ryan how the movie was, and he would tell them how awesome it was, and he would go into great detail as well lol. Ryan would drop whatever he was doing to help someone in need no matter what. He was my little buddy, i was his Skipper and he was my Gilligan. I am incredibly bigger than Ryan, and ironically we share the same first name. His passing has hit me incredibly hard and my sadness and tears just wont stop. Ryan was just an amazing guy. He was electric people gravitated to him, he was a Star Wars fanatic and he actually turned me into one as well. We would always end up watching one of the original films when we could not find anything else to watch. Ryan loved animals probably just as much if not more than Star Wars. He loved cats and dogs, and i believe he had rats at one time too. Ryan was an old soul who had a huge heart and love for his family and friends. Ryan and i would have some of the most awesome conversations and would talk about our futures and our lives. We hung out nearly every day. He was the only friend i could turn to when i had taken a leave of absence for pain killer addiction and went to rehab. He was the only friend i could tell about my incredibly embarrassing and saddened moment in my life. Ryan was always there for me, even when i could not be there for him. His passing has left a huge hole in my life and heart and i will miss him forever. Regardless of his actions he loved his daughter's and always wished he could have been the Dad they deserved. His last few years on this earth were filled with insane regret and hardship. I wish i could have helped him more like he helped me, but i was unable, and the guilt is something i will carry with me till he and i meet again in the field's of Valhalla. Lol Ryan and i loved the Viking culture and always joked about meeting in the fields of Valhalla when we leave this earth. I love you buddy and miss you soo much. PS. If you knew Ryan, you would know he loved to smoke cigarettes. He was the only guy i knew that could and would smoke in the shower lol. Love you buddy!!

To the man who is the father of my children. Words can not express the sorrow of our hearts. To hear your children in utter disbelief and agony crying out as they were told. Them knowing they will never see you again, never learn who you are, never see you win your war. You were loved, your family your daughters, your friends. We all saw the struggle and hoped and prayed for you every day, never far from our thoughts. I'm sorry this life was so hard for you. I wish the demons that chased you could have been slain. Thank you for giving me our precious girls. I wouldn't change that for the world. I hope you have finally found the peace you deserve. Give our love to your mom and our good boys Charlie and Buddy. This is not goodbye but see you next time. Love Always, The Mother of your kids
