Devastating news. My beautiful, sweet funny friend. Heartbroken

Rowena was my mate on the set of Meet The Richardsons. She was just so easy to spend time with, to share a joke with, to nip off to the chippy with. Always calm and collected, warm and witty, and on a shoot those are rare and valuable qualities, so no wonder people loved having her around. I know I did. Sending love and thoughts to her family and friends.

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Rowena through our mutual friend Alanna. I only have the most beautiful memories of her beaming smile and unwavering attention when in someone's company. She was a bright light and I know that she has shared that with so many people, that it will continue on in her memory. Sending love to all of her family. I very much hope to attend her festival and meet you all there. xx

What terribly sad news. My Mum and I sing her songs all the time! She was a really great person and extremely funny, my heart goes out to her loved ones. We will never forget her xxxx

I hadn’t seen Rowena for a few years but on the occasions we hung out I was always struck by her hilarious dry wit and unique take on life: she was a pleasure to be around and I was really very sorry to hear the news. We spent a few days together in Ibiza for Susan’s hen-do - it was a blast. I know Ibiza wasn’t necessarily her scene (“I must be the only person in this room wearing Marks & Spencer’s shoes”) but her comedy slant on it made me roar with laughter and we all really enjoyed ourselves. I remember going to see her play at the Edinburgh Fringe around the same time, and she’d written a really funny song about hen-do cliches etc. Hilarious. What a talent. Very best wishes to her family. Donna (Susan’s cousin)
