Ronald Allan Rogers Passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, at his daughter's home in Brockville Ontario.  Survived by sons, Ronald and David, daughter Darlene, grandchildren Ronny, Christy, Neville, Madison and Jackson, and his great grandchildren, Brook and Jordan. Ron is predeceased by his wife Margaret Jean Rogers (nee Turner), and his two brothers, William and Bruce Rogers.   Ron was raised by his mother, with his two older brothers, in several inner city neighbourhoods of Toronto. He developed a love for sports and became a talented athlete and avid sportsman. He was well known for being a skilled basketball and handball player during his long time membership at the Toronto Central YMCA. In his later years, he settled into being a competitive pool player at the Baron Bing Beaches Branch of the Canadian Legion.    Ron was a devoted family man, kind and honest with a benevolent character that led him to a successful career in sales and life long friendships. He was respected by those around him as a true gentleman, and will be sadly missed by all.

Poppy became one of my best friends, I remember thinking about how much trouble we could have gotten into together if we had of grown up together through the 50's and 60's. Playing pool with poppy and his good buddies from the legion was awesome, he had an amazing group of friends. Luv you pop

Wow, I just found out. I am speechless and numb. I share Marjorie’s thoughts. Some of my favourite memories are the lobster barbeque at his and Aunt Jean’s house in the Beaches, and the family get togethers we used to have with everyone in the extended family, including Nanny Jean at some. My heart goes out to you all. Uncle Ron loved his family.
