Ron Hendrixson

Ron Hendrixson shipped off this rock for his next great adventure on December 13, 2025. And if you ask anyone who knew him, they’ll tell you the same thing: Ron managed to live about fifty lives in the time most people barely figure out one. He was a skilled sailor, an explorer by nature, a farmer by grit, a coach to many, and—most importantly—a partner, an uncle, a godfather, a son, a brother, and a fiercely loyal friend.

There are some things we will never forget. Like his larger-than-life stories—many of which involved what some might call questionable decisions, stubborn determination, and at least one moment where disaster felt...a little too damn close. But that was Ron. He’d stare down the impossible, come out the other side a little bruised but victorious, then settle in over a plate of his hoof-to-table BBQ and spin the whole yarn—with a wink, a grin, and just enough embellishment to keep you guessing.

Building a life with his soulmate, Liza, brought out a side of Ron that delighted everyone around him; a playful, giddy warmth. If there was any adventure left to conquer, I think this was it: choosing true love, building a home, and doing it wholeheartedly.

Ron’s strength, curiosity, resilience, and the genuine care he showed for others left a permanent mark. The number of lives he touched during his time on this planet can’t really be measured—only felt. If you’re reading this, chances are he’s still very much alive in your memories, your stories, and your heart.
