Roland Vincent

Roland passed away unexpectedly in Lancaster, California - a deeply sad loss for the many friends who loved him dearly, and a loss to the world of a brilliant mind. Throughout his diverse life as a stockbroker, attorney, political strategist, campaign manager, pilot, champion skeet shooter, motorcycle collector, sailboat captain, prolific writer, and ardent animal advocate, Roland's ideal was a better world for people, animals, and the Earth, and his insight had a profound and far-reaching effect on others who care. He was warm, funny, generous, and compassionate, and deserved so much more than life (and some people) gave him. As those who love him come to terms with his passing, we know he - and the impact he had on our lives - will never be forgotten.

★ A star in the Orion constellation (chosen for Orion's connection to Zeus - the name of a horse he loved) is now known as the Star of Peace in memory of Roland. ★ Life for the Earth - A tree has been planted in memory, and sky blue Irises (his favorite color and flower) will be ready for the bees and the butterflies in Spring. 30,000 native Poppy seeds are also waiting to be scattered in places they'll do well - bringing color to a world that needs it, and extra places for pollinators.
