Roger Tilson Blohm

Roger Tilson Blohm (1964-2023) passed away at the age of 59 at his home in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia on July 15th. Roger is survived by his mother, Maureen Ruggiero, his sister, Tula Ruggiero, and his nephew, John Thompson. Born and raised in central New Jersey, Roger became a Yankee fan at a very early age after being taken to his first game at the Stadium as a five year old by his grandfather, John Tilson. Roger had an encyclopedic knowledge of the team and loved traveling to games in the Bronx each year. He was known as “Roger the Big Yankee Fan” in the vlogs and podcasts created by his friend and fellow fan, Frank Pimentel, the “BxBomber2011”. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, Civil War history, and listening to music, with the capability of naming any classic rock tune within a few minutes of it coming on the radio. Roger will be greatly missed by his family and friends who appreciated his gentle spirit and keen sense of humor. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, August 19th at Calvary United Methodist Church in Great Cacapon, WV. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
