Roberta Darlene Shingleton

Roberta (Robin) Darlene Shingleton passed away on September 12th, 2022, at the age of 60. She was born on August 3rd, 1962. Robin was all about her family, biological and non-biological alike. She was a loving person who would do what she could for her family.

She was the youngest child to Shirley and Frances Shingleton (both deceased). Her siblings are Beverly Brown, Carolyn Phelps (deceased), Jessica Lovett (deceased), Kathryn Wilson (deceased), Tonja Thanos, Lloyd “Bubby” Shingleton, and Sharon Sheffield. She was married to David Fairly and they had two children together. She later married Robert “Zack” Wright. She has spent the last 16 years with Paul Tillinghast. Her children with David Fairly are David “DJ” Fairly Jr. and Katrina “Kat” Fairly married to Jason Williams. Her stepchildren with Paul Tillinghast are Elizabeth “Betsy” Torres married to Luis Torres, David Tillinghast and Sarah Gauntt (deceased) married to Daniel Gauntt Jr.. Her grandchild with her son David Fairly Jr. is Dakota Fairly. Her grandchildren with her daughter Katrina Fairly are Samuel Fairly married to Carin Fairly, Emily Fairly engaged to Christian Ramirez, Micheal Gauntt, Kaitlyn Gauntt, and Stephen “Asuna” Gauntt. Her grandchildren with Elizabeth Torres are Carmen Torres and Luis Torres Jr.. Her grandchildren with Sarah Gauntt are William Gauntt engaged to Jessica Leteff, Mary Gauntt and Trinity Gauntt. Her great-grandchildren with Samuel Fairly are Travis Fairly, Joshua Fairly, Ariel Fairly (deceased) and Leon Fairly. She has a great-grandaughter due to be born in January with Emily Fairly. Her great-grandchild with William Gauntt is Bryce Gauntt. She has many more adopted kids and grandkids.

Roberta Shingleton will have a memorial service at Northside Baptist Church at 300 Cedar Bayou Rd., Baytown, TX 77520 on October 8th at 3pm.

Roberta was a lover of God. Religion has always been prominent in her life. She loved trains and jigsaw puzzles. She loved her animals over the years including, Bo, Josie, Nikki, Misty and recently Toby. She was a great cook and loved cooking for her family. She loved sci-fi and was really into Star Trek, Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. She was a great woman, and she will be greatly missed by her remaining family and friends. Remember her smile and laugh and of course her singing.

Lord we send you your daughter Roberta. Welcome her in your embrace and guide her to her loved ones already there with you. We weep for our loss but are happy she is now with her loved ones and you. Give her family and loved ones remaining behind the strength and courage to get on without her presence.
