Love you to Death!
Robert “Rob” “Bobby” James Lombardi was a loving companion, father, son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. He left this world suddenly at home on December 7, 2021 at age 35 and will be forever missed.
Rob was born to Angi Lombardi on August 2nd 1986. He was born with the heart of a champion and the spirit of a warrior. He met the love of his life, soulmate and mother of his children Megan when they were just 13 and 14 years old. They spent the next 20 years together and shared two beautiful daughters, Bella and Brooke. His daughters were always his biggest fans; he put them on a pedestal and let them know they were second to none. The feelings of adoration were certainly reciprocated.
Rob was a true sports enthusiast and loved the city life. He also loved spending time in the kitchen or at the grill creating delicious meals for his family and friends. He had a great sense of humor and kept everyone laughing. He spent many years in the Boy Scouts and with the help and dedication of his grandfather and namesake, he earned the rank of “Life”. He loved the history channel and could remember, to the smallest detail, everything he saw and heard. He never had to study yet he aced every test, be it school or life. He loved “the oldies” music and felt connected to that era. He was an old soul, wise beyond his years. He truly enjoyed spending time with his Grandmother, Susan. They both made many great memories just sitting, talking and making sense of life...Those times meant the world to both of them. To those around him, he gave everything he had. His family was everything to him and his love was extended to the people he surrounded himself with, family or not. Those who were lucky enough to know him, loved him the same as he loved them…“to death”.
Rob is preceded by his loving grandparents, Robert and Susan. His amazing mother, Angi. The love of his life Megan, his beautiful daughters Bella, Brooke, his beloved siblings; Jazmond (Fabian), Victor and Damian. Connie (Tobin), D’Angelo, Nalahand Liyah. His brother Victor (Asia), Khalil, Kash and so many others (Brothers, Joseph Washington, Travis and Anthony Spoerer and Victor Flores).
His memorial service will be held on Monday, December 20th from 5-9pm at Christian Funeral Home at 3100 Irving Park Rd. Chicago Il. 60618

Five months and a day short of the day you passed away I had a conversation with you where I told you that I fucking love you and that if you died none of us would be okay forever. I told you I was willing to do whatever it took. Whatever you needed from me as long as you would be okay. You told me I was being dramatic along with your mother and you promised you’d be okay. Here we are five months later forever changed by your death. We’re never going to be okay, forever. I love you so fucking much dude. I don’t want you to be gone. I just miss you and I’m so sorry things we’re always so hard for you. You used to always say you could never get away with anything even though we all know you got away with more than anyone I know. You were one of the funniest people I know, without even trying you were so damn funny and so smart and I was always so shocked by the random shit you knew about. You were the most stubborn complicated person I ever knew (aside from your mother). I just wish you were okay. I’ll forever be wishing you were okay. I love you so much and I hope you're okay.

You are my little brother. I miss you. Keep an eye on us. We made so many great memories together. From singing “don’t tell my fart” or playing Cadillac slap going up to Wisconsin or Michigan. Fishing on the pier with fruit stripe gum, graduating together was my favorite though. Playing baseball in the front yard of grandma and grandpas with tiny and Travis. Forever in my heart, until we meet again. Love you Rob!
Dad
I've called you Dude since you were little. And anywhere I would go, you would always come to see me, so rest assured, that when it's my time to go, I'll be coming to see you! Until then, I will be missing you Dude! Meantime enjoy whatever games that are there. Love Always! Dad
