Robert "Bobby" M. Griswold, Jr.
March 23rd, 1961 - July 27th, 2020
March 23rd, 1961 - July 27th, 2020
Robert M. Griswold, Jr. passed away suddenly but peacefully July 27, 2020. Those Griswold hearts – as big as all outdoors and filled with love, but sometimes they give out too soon. Bobby’s was supposed to keep going for at least a couple more decades, long enough for him to retire and start up that food truck business he always talked about.
Bobby was born March 23, 1961 in Sacramento, California, and, although he lived and worked for many years in Oregon and Washington, he always called northern California home. He encountered obstacles as a young man and overcame them, graduating from California State University, Sacramento, with a degree in Engineering. During his career he enjoyed working with several tech firms including Microsoft (where one of his job titles was Evangelist, causing his family to giggle) and Western Digital.
Family came first for Bobby, who was gregarious, compassionate and lived life with gusto. He loved creating delicious meals, riding his Harley, the 49ers and Deadpool. Oh… and whiskey and cigars.
Bobby was preceded in death by his dad, Robert Griswold Sr. and mother Joyce Westerhof. He leaves behind his beloved wife and soulmate Michelle, mom Cindy, daughters Madison and Taylor, stepdaughter Hope, siblings Sabrina, David, Margaret and Barbara, nephews Daniel and Joshua and many, many devoted friends. And that food truck.

Bob and I were colleagues at Nordstrom. He's such an eccentric human being with brass personality (in a good way). I always enjoy having conversations with him, whether in a meeting or a hallway. He will be missed. R.I.P. Bob!
