Robert Gandy

Robert Gandy, formerly of Memphis, TN, passed away with his spouse and family surrounding him on May 1, 2019 in Cleveland, OH. Beloved Husband of Elizabeth (May) and loving Father of 11 children: Valerie, Paul, Leonard, Audrey, Kimberly, Sterling, Micheal, Kenneth, Owen, Melinda and Joseph. Robert was a successful businessman who also worked for Green Giant, Campbell's Soup, served in the US Army Reserve and retired in his own car shop business that he left for his sons to continue. Defying the odds by being a 21-year survivor of a heart transplant at the Cleveland Clinic, Robert spent his post-transplant life donating, giving his time, and working with several community and volunteer groups including Meals on Wheels, and speaking for the Mended Hearts. The family plans on having a memorial service Saturday May 11, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Memphis, TN. Elizabeth has requested no flowers or gifts to be sent, but instead donations made in honor of Robert Gandy to Greater Cleveland Food Bank 15500 South Waterloo Road, Cleveland OH 44110. www.greaterclevelandfoodbank.org
