Robert "Bob" Bogle, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2024, at the age of 86.

Bob was born in Philadelphia, grew up on Green Lane in Roxborough, PA, and graduated from Roxborough High School. He earned his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University and his MBA from Temple University. Bob accomplished all this by attending night school for 13+ years while raising five children with his high school sweetheart, Diane Hart.

Bob was a thought leader and IT executive in the pharmaceutical industry. He finished his career as the Chief Information Officer at AstraZeneca, where his leadership and vision were highly valued. Bob was also dedicated to mentoring children in the foster care system. He served on the board of several Foster Care organizations while personally mentoring several children who are all very accomplished and successful today.

Goal-oriented and adventurous, Bob completed many triathlons, biked across America, and rafted down the Colorado River multiple times. He loved an active lifestyle, a spirit he passed on to his entire family.

Bob is survived by his wife, Sally Roesch Bogle, and sister, Mary Eileen Tryanski (Chet Tryanski). He is preceded in death by his brother, Leonard. Bob was an uncle to Bob Tryanski, Danielle Tryanski, Scott Tryanski, and Maria Bogle.

He was a cherished father to his children: Renee Hughes (Michael Zwiezynski), Patti Lyons (Dave Haag), Sharon Oliver (James Woods), and Michael Bogle (Lisa Bogle). He was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Bogle Rodden.

Bob's legacy continues through his 13 adored grandchildren: Connor Hughes (Rand McGee), Wyatt Hughes (Jen Evans), Logan Hughes, Caroline Bogle, Evan Bogle, Stephen Lyons (Emily Thompson), Kelly Hiller (Lucas Hiller), Julia Fanurik (Kenny Fanurik), Emily Rodden, Danielle Rodden, Alexandra Oliver (Willy Volz), Morgan Rae Oliver (Andy Malanowicz), and Katherine Oliver.

He was also blessed with great-grandchildren from Kelly and Lucas: Ella Lynn, Noah Daniel, and Luca Thomas.

My Favorite memory of "Mr. Bogle" was when his daughter Renee and I were roommates freshman year at IUP. Back in those days, people wrote letters and saved the phone calls for Sunday night from 5-11...It must have been around Valentine's Day because Renee got a lumpy, bumpy letter in her dorm mailbox - her Dad had crafted a letter using those conversation hearts ('atta boy', "sweet on you", etc.) - most of the hearts had fallen from their original placement, so it was a bit of a puzzle for Renee to put it back together and interpret her father's creative Valentine's day greeting! He was fun, creative and smart - I also remember one of his "gifts" to Renee was a one of those (classic, IBM) THINK placards for her desk (it is noteworthy that we were all still using punch cards in the Computer lab at IUP but Mr. Bogle wanted his MIS major daughter to know IBM lingo!) He loved all his children very much and I fondly recall spending a weekend down the shore with a "bunch of Bogles" - I think it may have been when he had the place in Stone Harbor, and I can remember his (and his children's) real joy at just walking on the beach with one another. May perpetual light shine upon him and may all his loved ones, especially Linda, greet him with open arms at those pearly gates.....Condolences to all of the Bogles. He was loved and will be missed but oh those memories will live on.... Trish Carey

Bob was always such kind soul and a pleasure to talk to. I'm glad Sally and Bob found each other and spent the time they did together. Our son Myles was a big fan of Bob when they met back in December. It was so fun watching them interact and see them both smile. He will surely be missed 💗 The Bakers
