We Little Knew We little knew that morning, God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, In death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, You did not go alone. For part of us went with you, The day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories, Your love is still our guide. And though we cannot see you, You are always by our sides. Our family chain is broken, And nothing seems the same. But as God calls us one by one, The chain will link again.
Robby Lewis Chapman (Dado) was born to Bobby Joe Chapman and Kitty Jo Chapman on November 24, 1948. He passed away on February 22, 2021 at home in Dallas, Texas. At the age of 18, Robby began his life long work at at his family owned and operated business, Chapman Motors, on Ross Avenue as an executive officer. He was known for his big heart, unconditional love, and his big smile that could brighten up any room he walked into. He left behind a beautiful legacy with the love he had for his family. He was loyal, generous, and adored by all who knew him. Robby was survived by his wife of 28 years, Elizabeth Rene Durham Chapman; daughters: Robin Chapman, Carrie Teller, Amanda Edson; step-son: Shane Peterman; twin brother, Bobby Chapman, sister: Kitty Carter; and 8 beautiful grandchildren whom he adored. Robby loved to make others laugh and always had a funny joke to tell. He will be missed dearly until we see him again. We love you always and forever!
