Rita Elizabeth Kunst Fecteau, 61, of Roanoke died Thursday, February 11, 2021. She was the only daughter of the late George and Marie Kunst. Surviving her are her husband of 41 years, David Fecteau; children, Megan Fecteau Morris (Troy) and Ryan Fecteau (AnnMarie Kieber-Emmons); brothers, Stephen, George, Gerard and Frank Kunst; grandchildren, George and Henry Morris and Adeline Marie Fecteau; numerous nieces and nephews. My best childhood memories are from our Kunst family reunion vacations in Emerald Isle, North Carolina, and Aunt Rita was a solid part of those memories. It was evident how much she and Dave loved the beach life and enjoyed the family. What I remember most was how easy going she was, and her laugh- a deep hearty chuckle, which she would do often at these gatherings. (Our large cousin group would supply ample entertainment and thus opportunities for laughter). That's where Aunt Rita will always live for me, along with our grandmother Marie.
