My brother Rick was the type of guy who always had a smile and a joke for you. Even when he was sad or worried he never showed it. He just wanted to put a smile on your face and make people laugh. He was always called "The life of the party." The moment he walked into a room, he could have anyone laughing and forgetting all of their troubles. His presence will be missed dearly by everyone he knew. Our family gatherings will never be the same without him. Nothing will ever be the same without him... I am honored to have been his sister for the last 50 years...Oops sorry Rick, I mean the last 38 years! ha ha. He always told anyone who asked how old he was, that he was 38 and he was my younger brother! He would look at me and we would just burst out laughing because it had been this ongoing joke between us for years now. I'm going to miss that so much. I am going to miss everything about him. You will forever be 38 years old in my heart brother. Rick meant a lot of things to a lot of people. To me he was my best friend. He was and is my brother. We got to where we had our own dialogue. We would make our own lyrics to songs and would sing them out loud and laugh at how funny we thought we were. He was known for his amazing and unique sense of humor. I always told him how hilarious he was and if you asked him, he would agree. He thought he was hilarious too, that’s what made him so funny! We always had a great time together. I just thought we would have more... If I ever needed someone to talk to, he was there. When I needed my car fixed or my air conditioner turned on, he was there. He was always there. Even though he did it on “Rick Time" and anyone who knows Rick, knows he did everything on his own time and was never in a hurry. He never asked for anything in return, his only request was that I make him "soft shelled" tacos. He loved "soft shelled" tacos! Rick's favorite hobby was collecting cars. Whether it was in a box from a toy store or parked in his

The happy and beautiful memories with my brother are endless...not only because he was the most hilarious person I knew. But because he was such a happy and sweet soul, that he touched the heart of everyone he knew. We all have our own beautiful and special memories with him and all the good times we had will be treasured in our hearts forever. Our world will never be the same without him. We had so much fun together. We made up the lyrics to practically every song that we liked and then laughed at how dumb we were. I had a few "Rix Mix's" on my playlists just for him when he came over to hang out with me. We have songs on there that will forever be “our” songs. I would always make fun of all the "teenage girl" music that he loved! Now that I have acquired the playlist from his phone I have new songs to make fun of! Little did I know that he had an inner "country boy" and "gangsta" in him too! His taste in music was quite eclectic, he loved music so much. I love listening to all of the songs he loved. Listening to them keeps him close to me -and right now that is very comforting. They will all now become my favorites too. Depending on which song I am listening to I will either be crying or laughing, and thinking of my wonderful brother every time I hear them. He had his own language that we all adored and will now be called "Rickisms". He made up funny nicknames for almost everyone he knew. It was his funny way of showing that he loved us. I always anticipated the next crazy name he would come up with. We called each other "Punk ass" every single time we talked or texted each other. I am going to miss that so much. I am going to miss everything about him, the fond memories, the funny memories, and the memories that will Rick was not only my brother, he was my best friend. He even took on the role of being a father figure to me after our dad passed away when I was only 10 years old. He was always there for me no matter what. He was such an amazing person
