Richard David Lowell was born on May 15th, 1957 – June 16th, 2021  Richard David Lowell was born on the North Side of Chicago and raised in the Rogers Park Neighborhood. He spent his childhood playing in the city and summers on the beach at Lake Michigan. He graduated from High School in 1976 later joined the Air Force where he served his country honorably for four years. During his time in the Air Force, he relocated to San Diego, California where he would spend his remaining life. Richard was a man who chased after adventure, he loved camping, hiking, sailing, and traveling. But, his favorite place to visit was the city of Cambria, which he discovered on one of his drives up the California coast.  Later in life he would find salvation in Jesus Christ. He loved the Lord and served him faithfully. A beloved son, father, grandfather, and friend, the most important thing in the world to Richard was his family. Richard was preceded in death by his father Russell and his Aunt Diane. He is survived by his Mother Patricia Lowell Perkinson her husband Raymond Perkinson, brother and sister-in-law Rodney and Julie their son Clayton, and Richards two sons Brendon and Christopher. His memory will be deeply cherished by his two Grandsons Chase and Elijah to whom he always showed the greatest love and affection. Richard will be deeply missed until we are reunited in Heaven.

It’s been one year and I still feel so lost, missing Richard every day doesn’t seem to get better with time..it’s Father’s Day and my heart goes out to Brendon, his son he spoke of many times…always with love. I have regrets I would not accept marriage proposal. If only I could back in time and redo my life with Richard, I am so filled with regret. I know I will never meet a man who brought so much happiness to me..Richard,my quirky full of fun man is gone until we meet again…in another place where there is no sadness or sorrow. I love him and will never stop..no matter how much time goes by…

Well Richard things have not gotten easier. I walk past your apartment and see red plant holders, camp chairs and your table of fun things. I miss you so much, Babe. I cannot understand how a wonderful man had to be taken from me… it hurts so much. I want you back in my life. You will forever be my last love. Susie
