Richard Bedford Forrest, age 49, passed away on March 11, 2022, at home in Rochester, NY. Rich was born June 28th, 1972 and raised in Mt. Gilead, Ohio. He enlisted in the Army Reserves and received an honorable discharge due to an injury. After time in New York City, Chicago, and Texas, he settled in western New York where he lived until his death. Rich received an Associate’s Degree in Biology from Erie Community College and was most recently in school to pursue his dream of becoming a nurse. Rich was loved by all who met him for his infectious laugh, gentle nature, and amazing hugs. He was always there to listen and always put others before himself. Rich was known for offering a helping hand, a shoulder to lean on, or comforting silence. Rich accepted and loved people for who they were while still wishing the world was a better place. It certainly will be worse off for not having him in it. Rich was predeceased by his father Tom and is survived by many loving friends, his brother Brian (Stephanie) and his mother Sherrie (George).  On-on!

What an awesome guy! I only knew him through gaming, but he was a special one. His humor never faltered. Special, and I will miss him always!

Ass First is gone from the world but not our hearts. Let his memories remind us to be Rich in love, great at hugs, laugh often, and when everything seems backwards do not take things head on, but Ass First. Rich had so much love to give. When you read this take that love with you and know the Rich in my heart loves the Rich in yours and that makes it much harder to hate. I believe that is how we continue to live after a tragedy. Be curators and disciples if his memories by loving like Rich. #LoveLikeRich
