"In the morning, when I rise, give me Jesus"
Our loving mother, Renae Mary (née Zaporski) Adzima, went to be with her Savior on the evening of Saturday, January 24, 2026, at the age of 76, in Tarpon Springs, Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allan Adzima, and her parents, Frank and Regina (née Smolen) Zaporski. She is survived by her son, Allan Adzima Jr.; her daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Adzima Bowers and Adam Bowers; and her beloved grandchildren, Jackson, Adalyn, and Arianna. Renae is further survived by her sister, Cynthia (Al) Epton; her brother, Randy (Kim) Zaporski; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Renae was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and attended Oak Creek High School. She earned her undergraduate degree from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and her master’s degree from Marquette University. Blessed with a talent for singing, she won several beauty pageants and performed at a number of events. Throughout her life, she embraced many roles and careers, including broadcast journalism (ABC News), teaching, executive recruiting, interior design, and most impactfully, raising her children in a loving home. She and Allan moved to Florida in 1997, where she continued to build a life for her family.
A devoted follower of Jesus Christ, Renae loved studying her Bible, teaching Sunday School, and listening to Christian radio. She also enjoyed singing, cooking, classical music, and was an avid reader. Renae faithfully served and loved her family throughout her life. She is dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
A private celebration of life will be held with close family and friends in Florida, with a family gathering to be planned in Summer 2026 in Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Moody Radio, which brought her daily joy.
